Willie Howard Mays, Jr (6 May 1931-18 June 2024) was an American baseball player.
He played for both the Giants and the Mets, almost always leading his teams to victory. He retired in 1974, and was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1979.
In 1972, he voiced his own animated likeness in the Rankin-Bass special "Wille Mays and the Say Hey Kid."
On 18 June 2024, Mays passed away from heart failure at age 93.
